Most everyday project and cleanout debris is welcome in a roll-off dumpster: household junk, furniture, carpet, wood, drywall, lumber, roofing shingles, yard waste, and construction debris. Heavy materials like concrete, brick, dirt and tile are usually fine too, but they have weight limits — ask us about a dedicated heavy-debris container so you don't go over tonnage.
For safety and environmental rules, some items are prohibited: paint, oil, gasoline and other chemicals, tires, batteries, propane tanks, asbestos, and appliances containing freon (like refrigerators and AC units). Electronics and hazardous waste also need special disposal and can't go in the dumpster.
Tossing prohibited items can lead to extra fees or a rejected load, so when in doubt, ask before you throw it in. We're always happy to tell you how to handle a tricky item.
If you've got an item you're unsure about, just call and we'll tell you exactly how to handle it. For a full rundown of sizes, weight and placement, see our Asheville size & permit guide, or call (828) 770-9469 for a free quote.
